Corriere della Sera: Roma Hope to Keep Bruno Conti in New Club Role

Bruno Conti’s long association with Roma may not be coming to an end after all.

According to Corriere della Sera, discussions have taken place at Trigoria over the possibility of Conti remaining with the club in a new capacity, despite reports suggesting his current role could be ending.

The report adds that Gian Piero Gasperini is hopeful the Roma legend will continue his involvement, having developed a strong relationship with Conti during the past season.

The Friedkin ownership are also said to be keen on retaining Conti as a club ambassador, recognizing his immense importance to Roma’s history and identity. The proposed testimonial role would coincide with two landmark moments on the horizon: the club’s centenary celebrations and the anticipated inauguration of the new stadium.

A similar position had previously been envisioned for Francesco Totti, highlighting the ownership’s desire to keep some of the most iconic figures in Roma’s history closely connected to the club.

While no final decision has been made, the door remains open for Conti to continue his journey with the Giallorossi in a role that reflects his legendary status.
