Gian Piero Gasperini has made his transfer priorities clear as Roma prepare to accelerate their summer recruitment.
According to Il Tempo, the Giallorossi coach wants five new signings to build a squad capable of competing at the highest level next season.
The top priorities are in attack, where Gasperini has requested three key additions, including two attacking wingers capable of providing pace, creativity and goals, as well as an attack-minded full-back who can consistently push forward and offer width.
Midfield plans, however, will depend on the future of Manu Koné. Should the Frenchman leave the club this summer, Roma intend to replace him with a top-level midfielder capable of maintaining the quality in the center of the pitch.
Defensively, Gasperini is also looking for a left-footed centre-back who can provide competition and cover for Mario Hermoso, giving the squad greater balance across the back line.
With the Friedkins expected to meet club officials at Trigoria, Roma’s transfer strategy is beginning to take shape as the club looks to provide Gasperini with the reinforcements needed for both Serie A and the UEFA Champions League.
