Roma are entering a crucial stage of the summer transfer window, with sporting director Tony D’Amico eager to provide Gian Piero Gasperini with new signings as soon as possible.
According to Alfredo Pedullà, the club’s transfer plans remain closely tied to outgoing business. Matias Soulé’s future continues to be monitored amid interest from Saudi Arabia and elsewhere, while Roma are still aiming to maximize the fee for Artem Dovbyk. A permanent sale of the Ukrainian would improve the club’s chances of pursuing Nicolò Tresoldi, who was sounded out several weeks ago.
Pedullà also addressed links to Diego Moreira, confirming Roma’s appreciation for the Strasbourg full-back. However, with the French club valuing the 2004-born defender at around €40 million, the deal cannot currently be considered a concrete option.
The report concludes that Roma’s priorities lie elsewhere for now, but stresses that the club must accelerate its transfer activity if Gasperini is to have reinforcements in place well before the start of the new season.
