Roma are on the verge of securing one of their biggest priorities of the summer, with Paulo Dybala’s contract renewal now entering its final stages.
According to Filippo Biafora, sporting director Tony D’Amico has reached a full agreement with Dybala’s agent, Carlos Novel, regarding the structure of the new deal.
The proposed contract would extend the Argentine star’s stay in the capital by one additional year, with an option for a further extension based on appearances.
Only a small hurdle remains before the agreement is finalized. The two parties are reportedly working through the final details surrounding performance-related bonuses, with the gap described as minimal.
If those final terms are resolved, Roma will be able to officially announce Dybala’s renewal, securing the future of one of the club’s most influential players as Gian Piero Gasperini prepares for the new season. The negotiations are now considered to be just one step away from the long-awaited “white smoke.”
