Roma remain interested in Costantino Favasuli, but the Catanzaro full-back is attracting growing attention from across Serie A.
The 2004-born defender impressed during the 2025-26 Serie B season, earning a place on the radar of Roma, Atalanta, Sassuolo and, most notably, Cagliari.
According to Eleonora Trotta, Cagliari remain the club pushing hardest for Favasuli, although negotiations with Catanzaro have stalled due to the financial demands of the deal. The Sardinians see him as the ideal replacement for Marco Palestra, who has joined Chelsea.
Roma continue to monitor the situation but are not currently prioritizing a move for the young full-back.
Speaking about his future last month, Favasuli played down the speculation.
“I don’t know. I’m a Catanzaro player, and now I’m thinking about the holidays because it’s been a long and tiring season. The interest from so many teams is nice, but I’m truly happy here.”
For now, the race remains open, with Cagliari leading the way while Roma continue to keep a close eye on the talented Italian.
