Roma are continuing their search for reinforcements on the flanks, with Saël Kumbedi emerging as one of the latest names on the club’s shortlist.
According to Foot Mercato, sporting director Tony D’Amico is monitoring the Wolfsburg full-back, who could become available following the German club’s relegation. Roma view the 2005-born Frenchman as a potentially affordable option as they look to strengthen the squad without making a major investment in the position.
Kumbedi enjoyed a solid 2025-26 campaign, registering five assists in 24 appearances. Since making his senior debut, the former Lyon and Le Havre defender has recorded one goal and 11 assists in 124 matches.
Roma, however, are far from alone in the race. The report claims Lazio are also interested, while Porto, Feyenoord, and an unnamed Ligue 1 club are all keeping a close eye on the French youngster.
