Francesco Totti and Luciano Spalletti have reunited for another chapter in their unexpected public partnership.
The former Roma captain visited La Rimessa, Spalletti’s agricultural estate in Tuscany, to film a new commercial for Amaro Montenegro. The project follows the successful western-themed campaign shot in a deserted Rome earlier this year, where the two played on their old tensions with sharp dialogue and a light-hearted tone.
That first advert leaned heavily into their complicated shared history. Totti opened with the line, “Mo parliamo,” before ordering the drink and closing the scene with a joke delivered in classic Capitano style.
The new campaign continues the same idea: turning a once-difficult relationship into something more relaxed, ironic and marketable.
Totti and Spalletti’s relationship was strained during the final season of the former No. 10’s playing career in 2017, when the handling of his farewell from football sparked major debate among Roma supporters. For years, the tension between two central figures in the club’s modern history remained one of the most sensitive topics around the Giallorossi.
Their reunion in Tuscany now offers another sign that those disagreements have been left behind. What was once a painful Roma chapter has become the basis for a public reconciliation — one built on humour, nostalgia and a shared willingness to move forward.
