Roma are moving closer to securing Paulo Dybala’s future.
While the club continues to search the market for new attacking reinforcements, Gian Piero Gasperini is set to begin pre-season with one major certainty already in the squad. According to Il Messaggero, Dybala is expected back in the capital on Friday, with Roma’s summer training camp scheduled to begin in nine days.
The official announcement of his contract renewal could arrive next week, after a long negotiation that is now approaching its final stage.
There are still some details to resolve, particularly related to bonuses, but the framework of the agreement is now in place. Dybala is expected to sign a deal until 2027, with an option for an additional season linked to performances and physical condition.
The Argentine has also sent an important signal to the club. He is reportedly willing to accept a significant pay cut in order to continue his Roma adventure, showing his desire to remain part of the project.
Dybala is also prepared to accept a less central role than in previous seasons, making himself available to Gasperini and the squad as Roma look to reshape their attack.
Before new signings arrive, Roma are starting again from La Joya’s experience, quality and desire to prove himself. His renewal would give the Giallorossi an important technical and emotional anchor heading into the new season.
