Roma continue to explore attacking options, with Alejandro Garnacho among the high-profile names assessed by the club in recent weeks.
According to Il Messaggero, the Giallorossi have held an enquiry with Chelsea to understand whether there could be room for a deal involving the Argentine winger. The contact was exploratory, aimed at clarifying the player’s cost, Chelsea’s position and the possible conditions of an exit this summer.
For now, however, the operation appears extremely complicated.
Garnacho is admired for his quality, explosiveness and potential, but the financial demands are considered very high. Chelsea are not expected to offer significant discounts for a player of his profile, making the overall investment difficult for Roma under current conditions.
The formula is another major obstacle. Chelsea are reportedly not open to a loan deal at this stage, which would have been the most accessible route for the Giallorossi.
Without that possibility, Roma’s interest remains difficult to turn into concrete negotiations. Garnacho stays on the list of attacking profiles being monitored, but the path to bringing him to the capital is currently uphill.
