Sven Mijnans is no longer a market option for Roma.
The Dutch midfielder had been linked with the Giallorossi in recent weeks, but he is now set to join PSV Eindhoven. According to Fabrizio Romano, PSV have reached a total agreement with AZ Alkmaar for a deal worth around €14 million.
Mijnans is expected to undergo his medical on Monday before signing a five-year contract with the Dutch champions.
Roma had monitored the 2000-born midfielder as a potential option, but PSV’s decisive move has now closed the door on a possible switch to the capital.
For the Giallorossi, the midfield search will continue elsewhere as the club works to reshape Gian Piero Gasperini’s squad ahead of the new season.
