Leandro Paredes has again spoken about the possibility of Paulo Dybala joining him at Boca Juniors.
The Argentine midfielder, now back at Boca, has long been linked with trying to convince his close friend and former Roma teammate to move to Buenos Aires. Dybala, however, appears to have already made his decision, with La Joya expected to continue his career in the capital.
Speaking to DAZN after Argentina’s win over Cape Verde, Paredes admitted he would love to share the pitch with Dybala again, but made it clear the choice belongs only to the Roma forward.
“It would be a pleasure to have him with me at Boca,” Paredes told Davide Bernardi. “But he will definitely have to make his own decision. He has a lot on his mind, and it would be a pleasure if he came with me. If not, I always wish him the best because he is a great person.”
Dybala’s future has been one of the main topics of Roma’s summer, but the direction now appears clear: despite interest from elsewhere and Paredes’ public admiration, the Argentine is moving closer to staying with the Giallorossi.
