Roma’s short week begins with a clear signal: Gian Piero Gasperini has returned from vacation earlier than expected.
The coach knows the next few days could shape a major part of Roma’s summer transfer window. Today at Trigoria, he is expected to meet sporting director Tony D’Amico in person to take stock of the club’s plans.
The key word is presence. Gasperini wants to be directly involved in the decisive phase, avoid misunderstandings and accelerate work on the remaining open issues. His daily relationship with D’Amico is central to that process, with Roma now looking to move beyond video calls, waiting and strategy discussions.
Several matters remain on the table, from renewals to outgoing transfers and the first reinforcements for the squad. The July 13 gathering is now close, and Gasperini wants to arrive with at least part of the summer work already mapped out.
Contract renewals are also moving toward completion. Zeki Celik and Paulo Dybala are expected to sign this week, with everything now finalized for both players. Celik is set for a new deal, while Dybala is expected to sign a one-year extension with an option.
