Manu Koné continues to be linked with a possible move to Manchester United as his future at Roma remains uncertain.
The French midfielder is currently focused on the World Cup with France, but his name has been mentioned among the profiles United could consider as they look to reshape their midfield. Earlier reports had also suggested the Premier League side could look at both Koné and Roma teammate Evan Ndicka.
Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha was asked about Koné during an interview with Metro, and while he praised the Roma midfielder’s ability, he suggested United may need a more experienced profile.
“I would consider him, but I would love to have someone who has a bit more experience,” Saha said. “He has a lot of talent and quality; I’m not saying he wouldn’t be a good signing.”
Saha explained that replacing a player of Casemiro’s profile requires leadership, balance and Premier League readiness, adding that someone already proven in England may be a better fit.
For Roma, Koné remains one of the most valuable players in the squad, and any serious Premier League interest could become an important market situation to monitor this summer.
