Massimo Margiotta has officially left Hellas Verona, clearing the way for his expected move to Roma.
The Venetian club announced the mutual termination of its professional relationship with Margiotta, who had served as head of Verona’s youth sector for the past nine seasons.
In their official statement, Hellas Verona thanked Margiotta for his work since arriving in 2017, highlighting the growth of the academy under his leadership. During his time at the club, Verona’s Primavera side earned promotion to Primavera 1 in the 2020/21 season and then secured five consecutive survivals in the top youth division.
Margiotta’s departure is considered the preliminary step before his imminent arrival at Roma. He is the profile chosen by new sporting director Tony D’Amico to lead the Giallorossi youth sector at Trigoria starting next season.
Roma are continuing to reshape their structure under D’Amico, and Margiotta’s appointment would represent another important move behind the scenes.
