Lorenzo Pellegrini is still waiting to finalize his Roma contract renewal after already turning down an approach from Beşiktaş in order to give full priority to the Giallorossi.
According to Eleonora Trotta, new meetings are expected in the coming days between Pellegrini’s agent, Giampiero Pocetta, and Roma sporting director Tony D’Amico as both sides work toward a final agreement.
The talks are part of Roma’s broader plan to reduce the wage bill. The club’s offer is reportedly around €2 million fixed per season, with bonuses linked to appearances and individual achievements potentially taking the total package to €2.5 million.
Roma are not expected to reach the €3 million initially requested by the midfielder, but relations between the parties remain positive.
Pellegrini’s desire is to stay in the capital, while Gian Piero Gasperini has also expressed his approval, considering the Roma number 7 an important part of the squad ahead of the new season.
