The Argentine forward appeared on a podcast with YouTuber Daavo, where he discussed several topics, from Lionel Messi to his arrival in the capital.
On Messi, Dybala said: “For everything he is showing, he is the best. Of all time? The eras are different, it’s difficult to say.”
Dybala also credited José Mourinho as a decisive figure in his move to Roma.
“Mou is a genius and a good person,” he said. “He always spoke to us with respect, took care of us, loved us, and in Rome people fell in love with him for what he gave. Thanks to him, I arrived at Roma.”
The Joya also recalled his unforgettable presentation at the Colosseo Quadrato, admitting he had no idea what the club had planned.
“When I climbed the steps and saw all those people, I was moved,” Dybala said. “We’re talking about 15,000 people. I couldn’t believe it, especially because I was coming from Juventus.”
Dybala also praised Roma midfielder Neil El Aynaoui, who is impressing at the World Cup with Morocco.
“He is having a great World Cup, I’m following him closely,” he said. “At Roma, besides being a strong player, he is also a good guy. I’m happy for him.”
On the Europa League final defeat, Dybala admitted the pain remains strong, pointing not only to the missed handball decision but also to other moments in the match.
Finally, when asked who could inherit Messi’s role, Dybala named Lamine Yamal: “He is a phenomenon. For me, he can be Messi’s heir. He has the right tools.”
