Corriere dello Sport: Roma Avoid Major Early-July Investment Amid UEFA Settlement Agreement Talks

Roma’s transfer strategy remains tied to the club’s financial situation and ongoing discussions with UEFA.

According to Corriere dello Sport, after failing to complete the necessary outgoing transfers by June 30, Roma are now waiting for the Settlement Agreement deadline to be extended until July 31.

For that reason, the Giallorossi could not begin the month with a major €50 million investment in the market. An operation of that size would have risked irritating UEFA officials in Nyon, especially during such a delicate phase of the club’s financial recovery.

The Friedkin ownership does not want to create unnecessary tension while Roma continue working to improve their accounts and stay aligned with UEFA requirements.

As a result, the club’s market moves are expected to remain carefully measured, with sporting director Tony D’Amico needing to balance Gasperini’s technical demands with the financial limits still surrounding the Giallorossi.
