Atletico Madrid are looking for a replacement for Alexander Sorloth, who is expected to leave for the Premier League, and one of the names at the top of their list is Nicolò Tresoldi.
The Club Brugge striker has also been linked with Roma in recent weeks as the Giallorossi continue to evaluate possible attacking reinforcements for Gian Piero Gasperini.
According to El Gol Digital, Atletico have accelerated in recent days, with Tresoldi reportedly giving his approval to a possible move to La Liga. The Spanish club are now working to understand the conditions of a deal with Club Brugge.
The Belgian side value the Italian-German forward at around €30 million. The report adds that a meeting took place two days ago to define what could become the key details of the operation.
Roma had been monitoring Tresoldi as a possible deputy to Donyell Malen, but Atletico’s push could now make the race more complicated.
