Manchester United have reportedly made their move for Roma midfielder Manu Koné.
According to Graeme Bailey of TEAMtalk, the Red Devils have initiated talks after learning that the French midfielder is open to a move to the Premier League. Roma, meanwhile, would be prepared to sell Koné if the right offer arrives.
The report claims there is confidence that a deal could be concluded for around £50 million, a figure that would represent a significant sale for the Giallorossi.
Koné has attracted interest from several clubs after an impressive spell in Rome, but Manchester United’s entry could quickly change the picture.
For Roma, his departure would provide major financial room in the market, though it would also leave Gian Piero Gasperini needing an important replacement in midfield.
