Artem Dovbyk’s future at Roma remains uncertain, with Ajax emerging as a possible destination for the Ukrainian striker.
According to Flavio Tassotti, Ajax like Dovbyk and could offer him the chance to reunite with Michel, his former coach from their time together at Girona.
However, the Dutch club are still reflecting on the operation, particularly because of the player’s salary and age. Those factors make a permanent move complicated at this stage.
A deal could become more concrete only if Roma were willing to open the door to a loan formula while also contributing to part of Dovbyk’s salary.
For now, Ajax’s interest is one to monitor, but the financial conditions will be key in deciding whether the move can truly advance.
Update from Filippo Biafora:
According to Il Tempo‘s Filippo Biafora, Roma’s attacking plan could include the arrival of two new wingers and a backup striker this summer.
The idea is tied to Artem Dovbyk’s expected departure from the capital, with the Giallorossi already evaluating profiles who can fit Gian Piero Gasperini’s system and add more depth to the final third.
