Roma are ready to make their first official move for Diego Moreira, who has emerged as the club’s top target to strengthen the wings this summer.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Giallorossi are preparing an opening offer worth €30 million, plus 10% of any future resale, for the 2004-born Belgian winger.
Moreira, who was on the bench for Belgium in their World Cup quarter-final defeat to Spain, is considered Roma’s most concrete target to reinforce Gian Piero Gasperini’s attack.
However, negotiations are expected to be challenging. Strasbourg, who own the player’s rights, are reportedly holding firm on an asking price of around €50 million.
Working to bridge the gap is the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, who is trying to find a deal that satisfies both clubs and could help move the transfer forward.
