Roma are moving closer to securing the futures of Paulo Dybala and Zeki Celik, but the renewal of Lorenzo Pellegrini remains the main issue still to be solved.
According to Il Messaggero, agreements for Dybala and Celik are now defined, with only official confirmation from the club still missing. Pellegrini’s situation, however, is different.
The expected meeting between Roma and the midfielder’s entourage reportedly did not take place yesterday, leaving the negotiation still open. Both sides want to continue together, but there are still differences over the length of the contract and the salary.
With the start of pre-season training approaching, Roma want to resolve the matter quickly. Gian Piero Gasperini is already expected to work with a reduced squad at the beginning of camp, and the club does not want further delays around its captain.
For now, Pellegrini’s future remains on track toward a renewal, but the final agreement still needs to be found.
