Roma have secured the future of one of their brightest academy prospects.
According to Lorenzo Canicchio, Mattia Guaglianone has signed his first professional contract with the Giallorossi. The deal will run for three years, tying the highly rated 2010-born talent to the club.
Roma’s move comes after strong interest from Como, who had stepped up their efforts to sign the youngster in recent weeks.
However, sporting director Tony D’Amico made Guaglianone’s renewal a top priority and successfully convinced the player to remain at Trigoria, ensuring another promising academy talent stays in the club’s long-term plans.
