Alejandro Garnacho’s future at Chelsea appears increasingly uncertain, with the Argentine winger now excluded from the club’s pre-season plans.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Garnacho will not train with Xabi Alonso’s squad as Chelsea prepare for his departure this summer, confirming that the relationship between the player and the club has effectively broken down.
Roma remain one of the clubs interested in signing the 21-year-old. The Giallorossi would prefer a loan deal, and Romano reports that Garnacho is open to a move to the Italian capital.
However, there is still a significant gap between the two clubs. Chelsea are currently demanding around €50 million, although that valuation is considered negotiable, and are only willing to sanction a permanent transfer.
With Garnacho now officially out of Chelsea’s plans, Roma will continue to monitor the situation closely in the hope that the transfer conditions become more favorable later in the window.

According to Augusto Ciardi, Alejandro Garnacho made it clear more than three weeks ago that he is interested in joining Roma, attracted by the chance to play in the Champions League and reunite with Paulo Dybala.
Gian Piero Gasperini is also a strong admirer of the Argentine and sees reviving his career as an exciting challenge, sharing the same vision as sporting director Tony D’Amico.
Roma continue to push for a paid loan with an obligation to buy under achievable conditions, while Chelsea are open to discussing the formula but want a mandatory purchase clause worth at least €38-40 million.
Negotiations are ongoing as the Giallorossi try to lower the Blues’ demands.
