Marcus Rashford has reportedly been offered to Roma as the Giallorossi continue their search for a new winger for Gian Piero Gasperini.
According to Football Transfer News, the England international has been linked with several clubs in recent weeks, including Roma and Napoli, as he looks for a new challenge.
After spending last season on loan at Barcelona, where he scored 13 goals in 44 appearances, Rashford is seeking a club that can offer him regular football and Champions League competition.
Despite the player’s interest in competing at Europe’s highest level, Roma have reportedly decided not to pursue the opportunity. The main obstacle is Rashford’s salary, which is said to be around €8.4 million gross per season.
The financial demands make the deal extremely difficult for the Giallorossi and are also expected to discourage other Serie A clubs from making a serious move.
For now, Roma remain focused on more realistic targets as Tony D’Amico continues to work on strengthening Gasperini’s attack.
