Roma’s new season is almost here, with pre-season training at Trigoria set to begin on July 13.
Gian Piero Gasperini is preparing for his second season in charge after guiding the Giallorossi to a third-place finish, while sporting director Tony D’Amico continues working to strengthen the squad and meet the coach’s requests.
Not every player will be present for the start of camp, with some still involved at the World Cup and others finishing their holidays. Gasperini will still use the opening days to begin laying the foundations for the new campaign.
According to Manà Manà Sport, D’Amico will hold his first press conference as Roma sporting director next week. The club’s transfer plans, Gasperini’s priorities and possible departures are all expected to be discussed.
Attention will also remain on Diego Moreira and Alejandro Garnacho, two of Roma’s main winger targets. Moreira appears to be the more concrete option, while a deal for Garnacho remains difficult because of Chelsea’s demands and strong competition.
