Roma’s plans for the wing positions have taken a clear direction, with Diego Moreira now emerging as the club’s priority target.
According to Sky Sport, interest in Dodô has cooled significantly in recent weeks. While the Fiorentina full-back had been linked with the Giallorossi earlier in the summer, Gian Piero Gasperini never considered the Brazilian his first-choice option.
Dodô is now attracting interest from Nottingham Forest, while Fiorentina are expected to offload players following a busy transfer window that included the signing of Alex Jiménez.
Roma, meanwhile, are fully focused on securing Moreira from Strasbourg. The versatile Belgian is seen as an ideal fit for Gasperini’s system, with the potential to play on the left while allowing Wesley to operate on the right.
The deal remains complicated, however. Roma have already submitted an opening offer, but there is still a significant gap between their valuation and Strasbourg’s asking price, leaving sporting director Tony D’Amico with work to do if he hopes to complete the transfer.
