Alejandro Garnacho is expected to leave Chelsea this summer, with Roma still closely following the Argentine winger.
The Giallorossi see Garnacho as a major signing who could strengthen Gian Piero Gasperini’s squad after the club’s return to the Champions League. However, Chelsea’s current demands make a deal extremely difficult.
The Blues are reportedly asking for around €50 million and, for now, are only willing to discuss a permanent transfer. Chelsea are not open to a loan with either an option or obligation to buy, which does not suit Roma’s preferred formula.
Roma have not given up hope, especially because Garnacho is said to be open to a move to the Italian capital. The Giallorossi believe Chelsea’s position could soften later in the window if no club meets their asking price.
However, competition is growing. According to TEAMtalk, a move to Saudi Arabia cannot be ruled out, and Garnacho himself is not completely closed to the idea despite his young age.
If Saudi clubs make a serious push, Roma would struggle to match their financial power. For now, the situation remains open, but the deal will depend heavily on whether Chelsea change their conditions.
