Roma are still waiting for Paulo Dybala to formally complete his contract renewal, while Lorenzo Pellegrini is expected to miss the start of pre-season at Trigoria.
According to Checco Casano, Dybala had not yet signed his new contract as of Saturday evening. The club is expected to send the final documents between tonight and tomorrow morning, with the Argentine then set to formally put pen to paper on his extension.
The situation involving Pellegrini appears more uncertain. Casano reports that the midfielder will not be present for tomorrow’s pre-season gathering due to being out of contract.
While Dybala’s renewal is expected to be finalized shortly, Pellegrini’s absence adds another storyline to the opening days of Gian Piero Gasperini’s second season in charge of the Giallorossi.
