Gazzetta dello Sport: Artem Dovbyk Open to Genoa Move as Roma Seek Permanent Sale

Artem Dovbyk remains expected to leave Roma this summer despite reporting to Trigoria for the start of pre-season under Gian Piero Gasperini.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Ukrainian striker is not considered part of Gasperini’s long-term plans, with Roma hoping to generate funds from his departure to reinvest elsewhere in the squad.

Genoa have emerged as one of the clubs most interested in signing Dovbyk. Head coach Daniele De Rossi, who brought the striker to Roma, is reportedly keen on a reunion, and the player is said to be open to the move.

However, significant obstacles remain. Genoa have proposed a loan deal, while Roma are looking for a permanent transfer to help finance their summer business. In addition, Dovbyk’s salary of around €3.5 million net per season represents another challenge for the Ligurian club.

For now, Dovbyk will begin pre-season with Roma, but his future is expected to remain one of the club’s key transfer storylines in the coming weeks.
