Roma continue to evaluate options across the transfer market, with Danilo Santos emerging as a midfield target.
According to Brazilian outlet UOL, the Giallorossi have made initial enquiries about the 2001-born midfielder, who currently plays for Botafogo after previously featuring for Nottingham Forest.
Danilo is attracting significant interest, with Zenit, Newcastle United, and Galatasaray also monitoring his situation. Zenit are reportedly the most advanced, having already opened talks with Botafogo, although the Brazilian’s preference is believed to be a return to European football.
For now, Roma’s interest remains exploratory. The club’s immediate priorities are strengthening the attack with targets such as Alejandro Garnacho, Diego Moreira, and Nicolò Tresoldi, but Danilo is one of the midfield profiles being considered should the Giallorossi decide to reinforce that area later in the transfer window.
