José Mourinho’s legendary managerial career is set to be celebrated in a new Netflix docuseries, which will premiere on August 11.
The three-part series will explore more than two decades of Mourinho’s career at the highest level of football, featuring behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with players, coaches, and figures who worked alongside the Portuguese manager.
According to reports, filming took nearly two years and begins with Mourinho’s unforgettable 2004 Champions League triumph with Porto, the achievement that launched him onto the world stage.
The documentary will also revisit his successful spells at Chelsea, Inter, Real Madrid, and Manchester United, as well as his time at Roma, where he guided the Giallorossi to the UEFA Europa Conference League title in 2022—the club’s first major European trophy.
The series promises an in-depth look at one of football’s most iconic and successful managers, highlighting the defining moments that earned Mourinho his famous nickname: “The Special One.”
