Roma could be set for a busy few days in the transfer market, with both incoming and outgoing deals expected to gather pace as sporting director Tony D’Amico steps up negotiations.
One of the players whose future remains uncertain is Manu Koné, who continues to impress with France at the FIFA World Cup. The midfielder is expected to feature in tonight’s semi-final against Spain with a place in the final at stake.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United have not abandoned their interest in the Roma star. Despite already strengthening their midfield with the signings of Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos the Red Devils are still looking to add a more defensive-minded midfielder this summer.
Koné remains one of the names under consideration and a move to Old Trafford is still a realistic possibility.
Roma are prepared to listen to offers, but will only consider a sale for the right price. The Giallorossi value the French international at no less than €50 million, a figure that reflects both his importance to the squad and his growing reputation on the international stage.
With the transfer window entering a crucial phase, Koné’s future is expected to remain one of Roma’s biggest storylines in the weeks ahead.
