Roma continue to search for attacking reinforcements, and a new high-profile name has emerged on the club’s shortlist.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, sporting director Tony D’Amico is exploring the possibility of bringing Endrick to the Italian capital. The highly rated Brazilian forward, owned by Real Madrid, is viewed as a potential opportunity in the transfer market.
The 2006-born attacker spent the second half of last season on loan at Lyon and was also included in Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil squad for the FIFA World Cup. Despite his immense talent, Endrick could struggle for regular minutes at Real Madrid due to the fierce competition for places in the Spanish club’s attack.
Roma are reportedly considering an initial loan offer in an attempt to convince Real Madrid to sanction a temporary move, allowing the young forward to gain consistent playing time under Gian Piero Gasperini.
However, the deal is far from straightforward. According to the report, José Mourinho’s presence at Real Madrid and his strained relationship with the Friedkin ownership could complicate negotiations between the two clubs.
While no agreement is close at this stage, Endrick has become another ambitious target as Roma continue working to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new season.
