Roma remained active on multiple transfer fronts as the club continued to shape Gian Piero Gasperini’s squad ahead of the new season, with developments involving Crysencio Summerville, Manu Koné, and Kerim Alajbegovic dominating the day’s news.
The Giallorossi continue to prioritize a move for Crysencio Summerville. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Roma recently held fresh talks with the Dutch winger’s representatives and are evaluating whether a deal with West Ham can be structured on financially sustainable terms. Alfredo Pedullà adds that Summerville has once again become Roma’s primary attacking target, leading the club to temporarily place interest in Alejandro Garnacho on hold. Pedullà also reports that Roma’s current transfer focus revolves around Summerville, Diego Moreira, and Nicolò Tresoldi, while Christos Tzolis has been offered but is not considered a target.
In midfield, Manu Koné continues to attract Premier League attention. Following reports from Fabrizio Romano that Manchester United had made initial contact regarding the French international, Ben Jacobs confirmed that the Premier League club have also enquired about Koné while assessing several midfield profiles. Roma have received interest from multiple clubs, although the midfielder remains an important part of Gasperini’s plans.
Roma also continue to monitor the future of Kerim Alajbegovic, but the race for the talented winger has intensified. According to Alfredo Pedullà, Atalanta are preparing an improved offer worth around €18-20 million plus bonuses after accelerating negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen. The Bergamo club are pushing to move ahead of Roma in the race for the highly rated youngster.
With several negotiations progressing simultaneously, Roma’s transfer strategy is becoming increasingly clear. The priority remains strengthening the attack while protecting key players such as Koné, as sporting director Tony D’Amico works to provide Gasperini with the reinforcements needed before the new Serie A campaign begins.
