Matias Soulé’s future at Roma remains uncertain with two Premier League clubs emerging as potential destinations for the Argentine winger.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Sunderland and Fulham have both held talks with Soulé’s representatives in recent days as they explore a possible move for the 22-year-old this summer.
Soulé endured a difficult end to last season after battling pubalgia, which limited his performances during the second half of the campaign.
Despite his talent, his place in Gian Piero Gasperini’s long-term plans is far from certain.
The report adds that Soulé has also discussed his future with teammates during Roma’s preseason training camp acknowledging that his stay in the capital is far from guaranteed.
Following discussions with the English clubs, Soulé’s agent has updated sporting director Tony D’Amico, who is now waiting for formal offers to arrive.
Roma value the former Frosinone winger at around €35 million and are prepared to begin negotiations if bids meet the club’s expectations.
While Sunderland and Fulham have reportedly reached an understanding with the player’s camp, Roma are still waiting for concrete proposals before making a decision on Soulé’s future.
