Roma are no longer in the race for Christos Tzolis with the Greek winger now appearing destined for a move to Arsenal.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Tzolis has not opened negotiations with any club other than the Premier League champions. Arsenal are now preparing fresh talks with Club Brugge as they look to accelerate a deal for the 2002-born attacker.
Tzolis had been linked with Roma earlier in the summer, but the Giallorossi never made a concrete move. Interest from the capital club failed to develop, and the player is no longer considered a realistic target.
Valued at around €40 million, Tzolis has become one of Arsenal’s top attacking options. With the player focused on a move to North London, Roma have effectively dropped out of the race and continue to concentrate on other priorities, including Crysencio Summerville and Diego Moreira.
