Roma have made Crysencio Summerville their top attacking priority as the club looks to strengthen Gian Piero Gasperini’s squad ahead of the new season.
According to Matteo Moretto the West Ham winger has emerged as Gasperini’s first-choice target to reinforce the attack with Roma determined to explore every possibility of completing the deal.
The Giallorossi have already held an initial meeting with Summerville’s representatives and are now working to secure the player’s approval before advancing negotiations with West Ham.
However, Roma have no intention of allowing the transfer saga to drag on indefinitely. Moretto reports that the club has set an internal deadline of Tuesday, July 22, to determine whether the deal is realistically achievable.
Over the coming days, sporting director Tony D’Amico will assess whether Roma can meet the financial conditions required to sign the Dutch international. If progress is not made before the deadline, the club is expected to shift its focus to alternative targets.
Summerville remains Roma’s preferred option, but with time of the essence, the Giallorossi are prepared to move quickly should the negotiations fail to develop as hoped.
Update from Jacapo Aliprandi:
According to Corriere dello Sport and Jacopo Aliprandi, Roma remain in constant contact with both West Ham and Crysencio Summerville’s representatives.
The Dutch winger’s salary demands fit within the club’s wage structure, but there is still a gap in negotiations over the transfer fee.
West Ham are asking for more than €50 million, while Roma are prepared to offer €35-40 million plus bonuses.
