Manu Kone for France at the World Cup

Rio Ferdinand Claims Manchester United Have Reached Agreement for Manu Koné

Speculation surrounding Manu Koné’s future has intensified after former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand claimed the Premier League club have already reached an agreement to sign the Roma midfielder.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Ferdinand said:

“Fabrizio Romano confirmed it to me as well. Manchester United have reached an agreement for Koné and will pay £45 million (€53 million). He’ll be an excellent player for Michael Carrick’s 4-2-3-1.”

However, Fabrizio Romano has not publicly reported that an agreement has been reached. The transfer expert has only confirmed that Manchester United recently contacted Koné’s representatives to assess the midfielder’s availability, with no deal between the clubs currently reported.

Koné remains one of Roma’s most valuable assets and is attracting interest from several top European clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester United. Following France’s World Cup exit, the French international is expected to turn his full attention to his club future.
