Roma’s pursuit of attacking reinforcements has taken an unexpected turn with conflicting reports emerging over the club’s interest in Antonio Nusa.
According to Il Romanista, Roma have made significant progress in their pursuit of the RB Leipzig winger. The report claims the Giallorossi have already reached an agreement in principle with the Norwegian international worth €3.5 million per season plus bonuses. Talks with Leipzig are said to be ongoing, with the Bundesliga club valuing the 2005-born winger at around €45 million.
Nusa has long been admired for his pace, direct style and ability to cut inside from the left. The Norwegian impressed again at the World Cup finishing the tournament with one goal while continuing the form that saw him register five goals and four assists in 35 appearances for Leipzig last season.
However, other well-connected sources tell a very different story.
Alfredo Pedullà reports that Roma have made no contact for Nusa and that the winger is not among the club’s active transfer targets. Fabrizio Romano has also stated that Leipzig are not looking to sell the player this summer making a transfer unlikely.
For now, Roma’s priority remains Crysencio Summerville, while Alejandro Garnacho continues to be monitored as another potential option. The differing reports surrounding Nusa highlight the uncertainty of Roma’s search for a new winger as the club continues to evaluate multiple profiles before making its next move.
