Roma have yet to receive the green light from Crysencio Summerville despite ongoing talks over a potential transfer.
According to Alfredo Pedullà neither the Dutch winger nor his representatives have approved an agreement with the Giallorossi meaning the deal remains at a standstill.
The update aligns with comments made by Gian Piero Gasperini during his press conference, where the Roma coach stressed the importance of maintaining balance within the squad’s wage structure.
“We need to establish a salary standard, and that’s only fair. Players who helped the team finish third shouldn’t suddenly see new arrivals earning much more than them. Controlling the wage bill is essential for the club. If certain financial parameters can’t be met, then we have to look at other players.”
With no breakthrough on Summerville, Roma continue to evaluate alternative attacking options. Alejandro Garnacho remains on the club’s shortlist, while Antonio Nusa is also being monitored as a possible alternative.
However, the Norwegian winger is attracting strong interest from several clubs, making any move far from straightforward.
