Earlier on Friday, Fabrizio Romano reported that West Ham rejected Roma’s opening offer of €40 million plus bonuses for the Dutch winger. Roma must now decide whether to increase their bid and move closer to the Premier League club’s €50 million valuation.
Romano also confirmed that Summerville has already opened the door to a move to Roma, with the Giallorossi currently his priority. However, Aston Villa remain in the background after the sale of Morgan Rogers and could still enter the race.
Roma are continuing to push for the deal, but the next move now depends on whether the Friedkin family approves an improved offer that would bring the clubs closer to an agreement.
