Roma have received a major boost in their pursuit of Nicolò Tresoldi with the young striker reportedly eager to make the move to the Italian capital.
According to Il Tempo, the Club Brugge forward has already made his decision and wants to join the Giallorossi. The 2004-born attacker believes working under Gian Piero Gasperini would be the ideal next step in his development.
Roma have identified Tresoldi as the ideal backup to Donyell Malen and are expected to push for the transfer in the coming days.
The striker is coming off an outstanding campaign, scoring 23 goals and providing 9 assists in 3,315 minutes across all competitions. He also impressed in the Champions League, finding the net against Monaco, Barcelona, and Atlético Madrid.
Despite the player’s willingness to join Roma, the deal is not yet complete. Il Tempo reports that Club Brugge have not yet made their position clear regarding a transfer fee or their intentions for the striker, while competition from other clubs remains strong.
With Tresoldi prioritising Roma, the Giallorossi will now look to turn that advantage into a concrete agreement with the Belgian club.
