Lorenzo Pellegrini for Roma

Lorenzo Pellegrini Rejects Juventus as Roma Contract Talks Continue

Lorenzo Pellegrini remains committed to Roma despite interest from Juventus and other clubs.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus attempted to convince the midfielder to join Luciano Spalletti’s project after signing Zeki Çelik, but Pellegrini rejected the approach. The Roma captain, who has been a free agent since June 30, is determined to remain with the club he has supported since childhood.

The 29-year-old is eager to play in the Champions League with Roma next season after helping the Giallorossi secure a third-place finish under Gian Piero Gasperini.

Il Messaggero reports that Pellegrini has also turned down a more lucrative offer from Beşiktaş, choosing instead to continue negotiations with Roma over a new contract.

While both sides remain confident of reaching an agreement, Corriere della Sera states that the main issue is the length of the new deal. A final meeting between Pellegrini’s representatives and Roma is expected in the coming hours as they look to bring the negotiations to a successful conclusion.
