Roma have reached a full agreement with Crysencio Summerville, but negotiations with West Ham United remain the final obstacle to completing the transfer.
According to Matteo Moretto, the Dutch winger has done more than simply open the door to a move to the Italian capital. Summerville has also agreed to move closer to Roma’s financial proposal, with Gian Piero Gasperini’s strong push playing a key role in convincing the player.
Moretto states that Roma are completely focused on the Summerville transfer and have been working on the deal for the last 7 days.
With personal terms now agreed Roma’s focus shifts entirely to reaching an agreement with West Ham.
The Giallorossi’s opening offer was worth €40 million plus bonuses, bringing the total package to around €44-45 million. However, the Premier League club have made it clear they value Summerville at €50 million and are unwilling to lower their asking price.
The other element to consider in Roma’s proposal is the structure of the deal such a payment methods, and the guaranteed portion of the transfer.
The next move is now in Roma’s hands. The club must decide whether to improve its offer and meet West Ham’s valuation to bring the deal over the line.
While Summerville has given his full approval to the transfer, the deal cannot be considered close until Roma and West Ham reach a final agreement. The player’s green light is secured, but the English club’s approval is still the decisive piece missing.
