Aston Villa have submitted an official offer to Chelsea for Alejandro Garnacho, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The clubs are discussing a loan deal that would include a clause to make the move permanent. Villa manager Unai Emery has approved the Argentine winger as a transfer target.
The development could complicate Roma’s pursuit of Garnacho. The Giallorossi have also been exploring a loan move, while Chelsea would prefer guarantees over a permanent sale.
Latest Update from Ben Jacobs
According to Ben Jacobs, Alejandro Garnacho has informed Aston Villa that he is open to joining the club as positive talks continue between Villa and Chelsea. Discussions are progressing well, and the deal could move quickly, with Chelsea eager to resolve the winger’s future before the end of the month.
This further complicated Roma’s transfer plans after looking highly likely to miss out on Crysensio Summerville to Al-Hilal.
