Al-Ahli have contacted Roma to request information about Manu Koné, according to Sacha Tavolieri.
The Saudi club have entered the race for the French midfielder, but Manchester United remain strongly interested.
Koné is understood to favour a move to the Premier League, although he has not completely ruled out the possibility of joining a Saudi Pro League club.
Roma are prepared to evaluate significant offers for Koné, who remains one of the most valuable players in Gian Piero Gasperini’s squad.

Roma’s transfer dealings with Saudi clubs continue as Al Ahli step up their interest in Manu Koné.
According to Sportitalia, the Saudi club are closely monitoring the French midfielder and could make a move later in the window. Roma would be willing to negotiate if they receive a suitable offer.
Manchester United have also been linked with Koné, although their recent contacts have reportedly been limited to the player’s representatives.
Al Ahli must first complete the sale of Enzo Millot before strengthening their midfield. Once space is created in the squad, the club are expected to choose between Koné and Gueye as their next signing.
Koné’s future therefore remains uncertain, with Roma waiting to see whether concrete offers arrive.
