Fenerbahçe have begun gathering information on Roma midfielder Neil El Aynaoui, according to Turkish outlet Fanatik.
The Istanbul club have reportedly made an initial exploratory enquiry after the Moroccan impressed at the World Cup. His performances have attracted interest from several clubs, with Fenerbahçe now considering him as one of the possible options to strengthen their midfield.
The Turkish side are searching for a potential replacement for N’Golo Kanté and have added El Aynaoui to their shortlist.
No official offer has been submitted to Roma at this stage. The contact was only intended to understand the player’s valuation, Roma’s position and whether El Aynaoui would be open to a move to Turkey.
