July 22 remains a special date for every Roma supporter. More than 5,000 fans gathered in Piazza San Silvestro to celebrate the club’s 99th anniversary before marching through the historic centre of the capital.
The traditional procession ended around midnight on Via degli Uffici del Vicario. Former Roma defender Vincent Candela and Paulo Dybala were among the notable figures in attendance.
Lorenzo Pellegrini was not present at the celebrations, but the former Roma captain marked the occasion with a message on Instagram.
“To you, my great love,” Pellegrini wrote while celebrating the club he represented for ten seasons.
The midfielder is currently a free agent and remains hopeful of receiving positive signals from Roma over a possible contract renewal.
