Roma have recently been linked with Benfica winger Andreas Schjelderup, but Tottenham have now entered the race for the Norwegian international.
According to O Jogo, Spurs have already contacted Benfica to explore a possible deal. The Portuguese club currently value Schjelderup at around €40 million, although their demands could rise as the transfer market continues to inflate.
The 22-year-old has a €100 million release clause and has also received an offer to extend his Benfica contract until 2031. Roma remain interested, but Tottenham’s approach could make negotiations increasingly difficult.
